If you are interested in learning about horses, working with individuals with special needs and spending time outdoors, consider becoming a Riverwood volunteer! We are in need of volunteers to serve as side-walkers for our summer and year-round programs. Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age and attend an orientation to undergo basic safety and side-walker training. Our next orientation is Saturday, August 19 from 9:00-11:30am. Horse experience is welcomed, but not required, as you will be taught everything you need to know during orientation. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer but are unable to attend, please call the office at (336) 922-6426 – we are willing to schedule additional orientation times to accommodate you.
