Therapeutic Riding

Therapeutic Riding

Therapeutic Riding is a unique experience that provides benefits in the areas of sport, recreation and education. Nationally certified instructors use their knowledge of disabilities and horsemanship skills to teach students with a variety of ability levels. Riders learn different aspects involved in equine related activities, starting with safety. Therapeutic riding is goal oriented and consists of activities that may include grooming, stable management, individual exercises, riding skills, games and trail riding. Improved coordination, motor development and balance as well as sensory stimulation, and improved self esteem are just some of the many benefits of this activity.
