Harmony Ridge Farms Gift Certificate Fundraiser for Riverwood

In this spirit of giving, Harmony Ridge Farms has partnered with Riverwood to provide a gift certificate fundraiser to benefit our programs. Each certificate purchased by December 31, 2017 will entitle the recipient to $25 of Harmony Ridge products, and in exchange Harmony Ridge will make a $10 contribution to Riverwood. The gift certificates can be used to purchase products through Harmony Ridge’s farm market, 9:00-12:00 every Saturday morning at 3835 Bowens Rd. in Tobaccoville, at The Cobblestone Fall and Winter Markets as well as by appointment at our farm. Certificates will expire on May 1, 2018. Simply click here to purchase your gift certificate online. You can also purchase them in the Riverwood office and/or at Harmony Ridge!

A great gift for the holiday season, consider providing your loved ones with a gift of nutritious, sustainably grown veggies, beef, pork, eggs and duck with a gift certificate while providing Riverwood with a contribution to support our mission. The combination will make you a hit at the holidays.

Thank you for considering this unique opportunity to support Riverwood and our generous sponsor, Harmony Ridge Farms at the same time!

Volunteer Appreciation Week and Luncheon

In honor of our incredible and selfless volunteers, Riverwood will host a volunteer appreciation week during the week of December 11th-15th. Throughout the week, our volunteers can look forward to receiving scrumptious homemade cookies, hot drinks, and a special “thank you” gift from the staff and students. In addition, on Thursday, December 14th, from 11:45 AM-1:45 PM, we will be celebrating all of our amazing volunteers with a luncheon in the Riverwood classroom. The staff will put on their chef hats and bring in delicious soups and baked goods. It will be an opportunity to meet fellow volunteers and for our staff to express their heart felt appreciation for the many ways volunteer help Riverwood succeed and enrich the lives of our students. Please mark your calendar for this special week, and allow us to celebrate you.

Volunteers Needed

If you are interested in learning about horses, working with individuals with special needs and spending time outdoors, consider becoming a Riverwood volunteer! We are in need of volunteers to serve as side-walkers for our summer and year-round programs. Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age and attend an orientation to undergo basic safety and side-walker training. Our next orientation is Saturday, December 9 from 9:00-11:30am. Horse experience is welcomed, but not required, as you will be taught everything you need to know during orientation. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer but are unable to attend, please call the office at (336) 922-6426 or email us at info@riverwoodtrc.org – we are willing to schedule additional orientation times to accommodate you. Find out more about the impact you can make by volunteering here.
